What is an agentic account in Walt, and how does it work? This article covers everything you need to know about using a subaccount to trade perpetuals with an AI assistant, including how to create and top it up, what an AI agent can do, which fees apply, and how safe it is to use.

What is an agentic account

An agentic account is a subaccount in Walt with a separate balance. You can connect an AI agent to it, allowing the agent to trade in Walt using only the isolated balance.

An AI agent is an AI assistant (such as Mira, Claude, or ChatGPT) that you can use to trade from your subaccount.

Which AI agents can I connect

You can connect any AI assistant, including:

  • Mira
  • Claude
  • ChatGPT
  • Grok
  • Cursor

You can connect only one AI agent to each subaccount. If you want to use another AI assistant, create a new subaccount for it. You can create up to 10 agentic accounts in total.

How do I create an agentic account

  1. Scroll down on the Walt home screen and tap Create agentic account.
  2. Select an AI assistant from the list, or tap Other bot to connect an assistant that isn't listed.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the AI assistant in its app.
  4. Confirm the connection in Walt.

That's it! Your subaccount is created, and your AI agent is connected.

To rename the subaccount, open its page and tap Rename.

How do I top up the balance

  1. Select a subaccount in the Agentic accounts section.
  2. On its page, tap Deposit and enter the amount in USDT.
  3. Tap Deposit USDT to confirm the transfer.

There are no transfer limits or fees.

The funds will then be credited to your agentic account balance.

What can an AI agent do

An AI agent can:

  • Analyze the market and suggest trading ideas and investment strategies.
  • Open and close positions.
  • Set Take Profit and Stop Loss.
  • Continue working even when the Walt app is closed.

Note:

  • An AI agent can request your confirmation before trading operations. If you want to confirm every operation, specify in your AI assistant's instructions that it must ask for your consent before executing them.
  • You can describe your trading conditions in plain language — no special commands are required.

Do I need a paid AI assistant subscription

No, you don't need a paid subscription to connect an AI assistant to an agentic account. However, if you run out of AI assistant requests, the agent won't be able to use your subaccount until your request limit resets. During this time, you won't be able to manage the subaccount manually. If you need to close your positions during this period, we recommend stopping the account.

Are there any fees or limits

Yes, the same trading fees and limits apply to agentic accounts as to your main account.

For example, there's a limit on open positions: you can hold no more than one open position per perpetual contract on each account. However, you can hold a position in the same contract on your main account and on each of your agentic accounts at the same time.

This allows you to use different strategies across accounts. For example, you can open a long position in a perpetual contract on your main account, a short position in the same contract on one agentic account, and another long position on a different agentic account.

Where can I view AI agent activity

Transactions made through an agentic account are displayed in the Transactions section on its page.

Do I earn points for activity on an agentic account

Yes, points are awarded for trading activity on an agentic account in the same way as for trading activity on your main account.

How do I withdraw funds

  1. Select a subaccount in the Agentic accounts section.
  2. On its page, tap Withdraw and enter the amount in USDT.
  3. Tap Withdraw USDT to confirm the transfer.

There are no transfer limits or fees.

The funds will then be credited to your Walt account.

How do I delete an agentic account

To delete an agentic account, you need to stop it. To do this:

  1. On the subaccount page, tap the three dots → Stop account.
  2. Confirm by tapping Stop.

When you stop an account:

  • The AI agent is disconnected.
  • All open perpetual positions are closed, and a fee applies.
  • The funds in the subaccount balance are returned to your main balance.

If you create a new subaccount with the same AI assistant, the stopped account will be restored. You can continue using your previous strategies or start over.

Is it safe to use an AI agent

An AI agent has access only to operations within its own subaccount.

An AI agent:

  • Cannot top up or withdraw funds from the subaccount.
  • Cannot perform transactions on your main Walt account.
  • Cannot access your main balance — the funds in the subaccount are isolated.
  • Can request your confirmation before each trading operation if you specify this in the instructions for your AI assistant.
  • Allows you to stop the subaccount and withdraw your funds at any time.

An AI agent executes trades based on your instructions but makes its own decisions within the scope of those instructions. You're responsible for the trading results, just as you are for your own trades.

Don't share access to your AI assistant with other people. Anyone who gains access can send trading instructions for your subaccount.
