Deleting a Walt Account

Deleting your Walt account means stopping the use of the service, not permanently erasing all data. This means:

• Deleting the account does not reset verification and does not allow to pass it again.
• If there are restrictions, creating a new account will not restore access to the features.
• You cannot create a new account and delete a previous one, as only one verified account is allowed in Walt.

There are two ways to stop using Walt:

1. Stop using the Walt app yourself and hide it from your Telegram interface and device.
2. Contact our support team to fully stop using the service.

How to hide the Walt app yourself

If you want to stop using the Walt app, you can remove it from your Telegram interface yourself. To do this:

1. Delete the chat history with @walt.
2. Turn off notifications from Walt.
3. If the chat with Walt is pinned, unpin it.
4. Remove the Walt icon from your Home Screen.

After this, the Walt app will no longer appear in your Telegram interface or on your device.

You can resume using the service with the same account if needed.

How to completely stop using Walt

If you decide to fully stop using the service, contact our support team. In this case:

• We will stop collecting any information about your account;
• Access to your custodial address in Walt and to your DeFi Account will be restricted;

• Creating a new Walt account will not be possible.

Below are the most common reasons for deleting an account.

I accidentally created a Walt account

If your account was created by mistake, you don’t have to use it. You can still explore Walt features:

• сryptocurrency exchange;
• buying and selling cryptocurrency with a bank card;
• the P2P Market to buy or sell cryptocurrency directly;
• campaigns and programs in the “Earn” section for receiving rewards within the app;
• purchasing tokenized versions of popular US stocks and traded funds;
• trading perpetual futures.

With Walt’s wide functionality, you may find useful features for yourself.

I provided incorrect information during verification

If you provided incorrect information during verification, deleting your account will not fix the data.

What you can do:

• If incorrect data was provided at the Basic verification level, complete verification at the Extended or Advanced level and submit documents with the correct information.
• If incorrect information was provided during Extended or Advanced verification, contact our support team — we will review the information and try to assist you.

My verification was unsuccessful. I want to pass it again

If verification was not successful, deleting your account and creating a new one to pass it again is not possible. Walt allows only one verified account.

If you could not pass verification, check the reasons for unsuccessful verification or contact support for more details.

My access to Walt is restricted

If your account access is restricted, deleting Walt will not remove the restriction or allow creating a new account.

I have another Telegram account. I want to create a new Walt

If you want to use Walt with another Telegram account, deleting your current Walt account is not required.

According to the User Agreement, each user can have only one Walt account. To use Walt on another Telegram account:

1. Complete verification at the Extended or Advanced level on your current Walt account.
2. Open Walt on the new Telegram account.
3. Complete verification at the Extended or Advanced level on the new Walt account.

The system will notify you about a “duplicate verification”. You will be able to select the new account as your main one.

If you choose the new account as main, the current account will be restricted. On the old account, only withdrawals will be available — you will not be able to perform other operations.
